NO MORE LIES By Derek Falls The mood of this Videoclip is a contrasting mix of Warm amber and cold bluish light that seeks to underline the different emotions going on within the main character’s struggle with his feelings of remorse and his quest for truth. Sc.1 ( intro and chorus) Man looks out at the ocean from his window, both hands touching the glass in despair. The atmosphere is bathed in bluish gray, the house is empty, and all the furnitures is covered in white linen. The air is dusty, smokey. The camera zooms in on him as he turns away from the window. (oceanside style country house) Sc.2 ( chorus) Violins begin to play. Angels appear while sounding the instruments. The mood is starting to change. The sunrise lights up the room in golden hue. The room becomes alive and warm compared to sc.1 austere and cold. ( in that same oceanside style country house) Sc.3 ( End of chorus) Man walks to the front of his house and stands at the open door. He hears the car, sees it pulling up the driveway, its lights still on in the early morning light. It’s his woman he ‘s been waiting for. The camera zooms in on her feet as the car door opens, she steps out and walks up to him. He hugs her. She’s home. Sc.4 (verse 1) FLASHBACH SCENE They are gently communicating, holding hands. We see them talking and softly caressing each other (as we hear the lyrics from the song) We bounce back from the flashback to this scene where they are now arguing in front of the house. They are engaging in hurtfull words, with hard body langage, pushing each other away. Her look is elegant business, Armani, his is more relaxed, county, Ralph Lauren. Sc.5 ( chorus 2) x2 Back to the austere blue mood. He’s pacing around the house, talking to her on the phone. He’s ruff, unshaven, no shirt on, denim offwhite jeans. We sense that he’s not doing well. He longs for her return. Sc.6 (verse 2) The couple is in the bedroom, making love. No stress, no worries. No More Lies. Candle light atmosphere, we see the shadows flickering on the walls as the wind blows in from the open windows and the curtains sway to the ocean breeze. Sc.7 ( guitar solo) The silhouette of a man standing on a peer playing the guitar solo. (bluish atmosphere, and he’s wearing an elegant blue velvet suit) Accompanied by the string orchestra all dressed in dark blue and the conductor in white. They are on the beach at sunset but there’s a mixture of amber light and bluish tones. Sc.8 ( chorus 3) Our man is back at the window, with confused and uncertain feelings, and blue returns as the violins fades away. Sc.9 ( vocals and violins) The mood and lighting change’s at last to golden orange as he sees her from the window walking towards him. She’s coming back to him, as they get closer, embrace, he smiles. No More Lies. The End Copyright 2009
